What does the Fire Communicator detect?
It detects both smoke and heat, helping catch fires faster than smoke-only alarms. (We also offer a dedicated Heat Detector for high-risk areas like crawl spaces or attics.)
How will I be notified in an emergency?
You’ll get an instant alert on your CPI inTouch® app, and our Central Monitoring Station is immediately notified to dispatch help.
What happens if there's a false alarm, like from cooking?
You can temporarily silence the alert from your SmartHub panel or CPI inTouch® app, while keeping the detector active and ready.
Will I know if the battery is low or the sensor is tampered with?
Yes. The system will send a low battery or tamper alert, so you’ll always know the sensor is working properly.
Does the Fire Communicator need to be part of an armed system to work?
No. The Fire Communicator is always active, even if your security system is disarmed - so you’re protected 24/7.
