CPI Security and the Columbia Fireflies partnered to clean up and restore a youth baseball field in the Columbia area last week.
Volunteers with both organizations worked together to make sure the Valencia Park field was in good shape for youth softball and baseball teams. The volunteers dug out weeds, leveled the pitching mound, painted foul pole posts and installed a new home plate.
“We're excited to partner with the Columbia Fireflies to improve the Valencia Park field for our youth. Team sports are a vital part of childhood development,” CEO and Founder of CPI Security Ken Gill said. “They teach cooperation, build confidence and create lasting friendships."
