How to Set Up Automatic Home Security Arming and Smart Arming Reminders

How to Set Arming Reminders

Security system reminders help ensure you never leave your home unprotected. Here's how to schedule security system arming notifications:

  1. Press the "More" button in the bottom right corner of your security app.
  2. Click "Notifications".
  3. Toggle on "Push Notifications".
  4. Select which notifications you want to be alerted to.
  5. To get a reminder if your system is not armed, toggle on the "Reminder at XX:XX" time.
  6. To set a specific time, scroll down and select "Manage for All Recipients".
  7. Tap "Reminder at XX:XX"
  8. Set the time when you want to be notified if you haven't armed your system.
  9. Press Save.

 

How to Set Up Smart Arming Security System

Automatic home security arming takes the guesswork out of home protection. Here's how to automatically arm your security system at night and disarm it in the morning:

 

  1. Under the "Security System" section of your security app, click the clock icon.
  2. Under the "Wake Up" section, click the arrow next to "Disarm my system".
  3. Set a time you want the system to disarm at or disarm when activity is detected between a certain time.
  4. Press "Save".
  5. Under the "Goodnight" section, click the right arrow.
  6. Select the time you want your system to arm or select a time range you want your system to arm when no activity has been detected for 30 minutes.
  7. Press "Save".

Knowing your home alarm arming modes is essential for proper protection. Away mode activates all sensors including motion detectors, perfect for when you leave home. Stay mode arms perimeter sensors while allowing you to move freely inside, ideal for nighttime or when you're home during the day.
